FLINTSTONE, Md. (September 6, 2017) – Rocky Gap Casino Resort continues to be a favorite of Maryland casino guests. Casino Player Magazine’s “Best of Maryland Gaming Awards” honored the property with nine first place selections as voted upon by readers and casino gaming customers.
The first-place wins included; “Favorite Casino Resort to Vacation At,” “Best Hotel,” “Best Rooms,” “Best Golf Course,” “Best Spa,” “Best Casino Hosts,” “Best Comps,” “Best Video Slot Machines,” and “Best Video Poker.”
Rocky Gap also earned seven second place finishes and six third place wins.
Maryland is home to six casinos, including a near resort in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. corridor that opened last December at a cost of more than $1 billion.
“Competition in the state escalated this year and the results of the 2017 Best of Gaming Maryland are gratifying to our more than 500 team members,” said Rocky Gap General Manager Skylar Dice. “The primary concern of our team members is the satisfaction of our guests and this type of recognition encourages all of us at Rocky Gap to exceed the expectations of our guests.”
Dice said winning the distinction of “Favorite Casino Resort to Vacation At” in Maryland was a point of pride for the property’s management and team members. It signifies the overall attraction of Rocky Gap, which includes the championship caliber Rocky Gap Golf Course – the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course in Maryland – and the Spa at Rocky Gap.
Rocky Gap has 198 hotel rooms and suites, and a casino with 665 gaming devices and 17 table games.
Rocky Gap earned second place honors for; “Best Overall Gaming Resort,” “Best Hotel Staff,” “Best Suites,” “Best Reel Slots, “Best Blackjack,” “Best Craps,” and “Casino Where You Feel Luckiest.”
Third place honors were awarded for; “Best Casino,” “Best Players Club,” “Best Rewards Club,” “Best Promotions,” “Best Dealers,” “Best Table Game Tournaments,” and “Best Slot Tournaments.”
Rocky Gap is a subsidiary of Las Vegas-based Golden Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:GDEN).
